Following are a few tips on the key information that is generally required from you. It may be best to structure your resume according to these fields.
- Name in full
- Address
- Phone numbers (inc. Skype)
- E-mail address
- Visa status (where necessary)
- Dates of employment
- Organization name & webpage
- Brief two line description of organization, its size and revenue
- Position title
- Supervisor & No. of supervisees
- Responsibilities in bullet point form
- Achievements in bullet point form
- All education, graduate and high school and years of completion
- Qualifications and professional memberships
- Publications
- Honors & awards
- Computer skills
- Interests
- Notice period
It is important that your most recent 2 to 3 positions, or last 5 to 10 years be in more detail. No resume should really be more than 4 or 5 pages in length unless you are applying for a specific role that requires you to submit more information. |
